Steven Rosenak, OD, Sandy Rosenak, Office Manager

Dr.Rosenak would like to personally welcome you to his office. He is a 1987 graduate of the University of Houston-School of Optometry, and has been in private practice for 22 years. Dr. Rosenak is committed to spending quality time with each of his patients and enjoys working with all people- toddlers to seniors! He is definitely a people person; who enjoys getting to know every person who comes in his office. Dr. Rosenak frequently attends Continuing Education Courses to keep updated on all aspects of optometry- from health issues to the latest in eyewear products!

Dr. Rosenak was awarded the Ciba Vision Platinum Award. He is ranked the #1 Optometrist in Northwest Missouri to embrace new technology in the field of contact lenses. This is a great accomplishment for him, and proves his enthusiasm for new technology in enhancing patient care!

Dr. Rosenak is loyal and active in the St. Joseph community and surrounding areas. He is actively involved in Cub Scouts. He is an Eagle Scout. He has been married to Sandy for 17 years, with two children ages 14 and 11.

Sandy is responsible for all the business aspects of the office. However, she also enjoys meeting all the patients and customers! She is an optician also, so she can help patients make the correct frame and lens choice. Sandy is so appreciative of the trust patients put in them! She personally feels honored that patients choose Dr. Rosenak's Optical Options for their eyecare needs!

Dr. Amy Fitzgerald

Dr. Fitzgerald is from the Savannah/ St. Joseph area and graduated from Savannah High School. She graduated from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville in 1993 with a degree in Molecular Biology. She graduated from the University of Missouri- St. Louis School of Optometry in 1997.

She is married with 2 children ages 8 and 5. She has been practicing Optometry for 11 years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our practice!

We especially want to congratulate her for achieving The Certificate of Excellence from VSP for providing outstanding patient care!!

Angie-Office Manager, A.B.O. Certified

Angie has over 9 years experience in the optical field. She has extensive knowledge in lens materials,and the newest products on the market. Angie prides herself on having a 99% success rate in the proper measuring of no- line bifocals (progressive lenses). It is always exciting when we are told patients now love their progressive lenses, when in the past they had not been able to wear them! Angie and our staff pride themselves on educating the patients on every aspect of their frame and lens selections.Angie and the staff also keep current on all aspects of optometry by attending Continuing Education courses.

Angie also specializes in the proper fitting of toddler and children frames. She understands the importance of getting the right fit.

Angie also cuts and edges your glasses in our lab. She is a perfectionist when it comes to your glasses, so you can be assured they are made correctly!!

Angie is always available to answer your questions! We love it when we receive compliments and praise, however if you have concerns we want to hear from you as well. Angie is always available to speak to you!

Jenny - Lab Technician, A.B.O. Certified

Jenny comes to our office with over 14 years experience in the optical field.

Jenny is very knowledgeable in the selection of the proper lens materials to fit your everyday needs. The field of optics is her "expertise" and she loves to educate and manufacture the perfect lens for you!

Jenny is the professional who cuts and edges your lenses in our on-site lab. She is a also a perfectionist - and takes tremendous pride in her work.

We are so pleased to have her as part of our family of experts!

Melodie-Optician

Melodie will help you pick out your glasses and educate you on lens materials and products to fit your lifestyle. Melodie is also trained in the lab to inspect, manufacture, and order your lenses. She has 6 years optical experience and we are thrilled to have her as part of our family of experts!

Heather O. - Optician

Heather has been employed in the optical field for 5 years. Heather is an optician who is trained in the proper fitting and adjustment of glasses. She is also available to help you choose the "right" frame and lenses for you lifestyle. Heather is also trained to teach contact lens classes. She will assist patients in the proper techniques of caring for your contacts.

Verina Swavey- Front Desk Coordinator

Verina will be the first person you'll see when you arrive at our office. She most likely will be making your appointment, as well as verify your insurance coverage. She coordinates all aspects of the front desk, checking in patients. Verina has 10 years of administrative experience, and is very thorough. If you have any questions about your vision benefits, please call our office and speak to Verina.

Jessi McWilliams- Doctors Assistant

Jessi will assist you by performing testing prior to seeing the doctor. The testing is a simple and pain free evaluation assisting the doctor prior to their examination. She will also review your medical history and document any changes since your last exam. She will also perform the Retinal Photos for the doctors. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your pre-testing or medical history forms, just ask Jessi.
